I just replied in the FB group but check out Dion Snowshoes. They are designed specifically for running. I wear my waterproof trail shoes with them or Xero Alpine boots

My husband ran in Alaska for ten years. He suggested some Salomon ice shoes or IceBugs, lots of layers, and stay hydrated. He’s run in -5 weather, and loved every minute of it. Try to run downtown. It’s pretty safe, and you can cover every inch of it within a few years if you are using an App like Strava.

OOoo I might have to check these out - Denver has had snow on the sidewalks for days (which is rare!!!) but made me realize I need better shoes for the winter!!!
